First Design & Interactive Enviroment - Sep 22

The project started as an abstract slide puzzle that we called MystARies. We wished to focus on real-time avatar generation of players and gesture tracking for interaction. We then outlined the first ideas for our Game Design. In this video, you can see the first progress of game design, server interaction, AR-plane detection, world space management and basic animations.

First Public Showcase - Oct 6

As we approached our first public showcase 2 weeks into the project, we had managed to show the AR-world working in a server enviroment. The main feedback we got was to focus on solving issues using cloud anchors and what type of interaction method the traveler should use. The video shows the progress up til now.

Finishing the MVP - Nov 9

After a long break, we had to refocus our project. We each picked an advanced topic to focus on finishing. which the video shows. Some interesting shaders and light estimation was added. We started to research how to implement haptics and understand when and how to use it. We showcase animation and model of traveler. A few particle effects had been created. Lastly, we showcase the first version of a touch-based movement for the traveler using Unity's navmesh.

Final Sprint - Nov 9

We then were able to finish our MVP, making it possible to focus on polishing. Examples include adding more animations and some more assets (sound, shaders) and testing it with real users. Some interaction method was added for the spirit, together with haptic feedback to help usability. We did a limited first-hand-experience user test, due to the circumstances we could not do anything more than that.
